Tara is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), Auslan teacher, advocate, children’s book author and TEDx speaker with a passion for creating meaningful, accessible communication experiences for children, families and communities.
Tara currently advocates for Auslan in educational settings, supporting parents, educators and children to understand the value of Auslan as both a language and a powerful communication tool.
Tara is available to visit childcare centres, schools, playgroups and libraries to deliver engaging Auslan education sessions designed to introduce children and educators to Auslan in a fun, practical and inclusive way.
She is also available for keynote presentations, public speaking engagements and educational events, sharing her lived experience, knowledge and passion for communication, inclusion and accessibility.
Alongside her work in Auslan and advocacy, Tara brings extensive learning and development expertise and industry-leading knowledge of workplace communication techniques, helping organisations understand how effective communication can create more inclusive, connected and productive environments.
